🌺In the Modena area it has always been customary to activate a new battery of vases at the birth of a child, or a grandchild or to give a centuries-old one as a dowry to daughters about to leave their family to form another.

For us girls from Modena there is no set of sheets or other dowry gifts other than our barrels of balsamic, because they are not only bearers of an exquisite product but also of the history and love of our family.

The barrels in the photo are some of the batteries that my parents gave me when I left home. An emotion still alive in me. 🌺
